A superb night was enjoyed by all who attended the first Craft Beer and Gin Festival, last Friday night. A fantastic £2,600 was raised by our brilliant PTA! A special thank you to Lyndsay Snodgrass for all the time, preparation and organisation that she put into this event. Both halls were transformed, the band were a hit, the bar flowing with drinks orders and a delicious hog roast all very much enjoyed by everyone. Thanks also to Karen Lister, Sally O’Connell, John Lister and John Snodgrass for helping out prior to and on the night and Viv Melville for all things finance. Lastly, our teaching staff who helped on the night: Rachel Coyne, Claire Fretwell and Chris Moore.
We are grateful to the following local business’ who donated raffle prizes: Harrogate Tipple, Audio Architect Apparel, Al Bivio, Harrogate Racquets Club and 7 Solicitors in association with Ake & Humphries. Thanks also to the staff from 10 Devonshire Place for running the bar. Trufflehuntrs for providing the Hog Raost. Slingsby’s Gin, for glasses that were well-used throughout the night! 4 Seasons Florist for the table flowers. Finally, Alfie for opening up the entertainment and the band BiLKO for getting everyone dancing later.
The money raised will help fund the newly installed Running Track, which will have its grand opening after half-term, when the final works have been completed. Thank you to all involved in making this evening such a success and to parents/carers/friends for your generosity. It was lovely to see you all having a great time and socialising (child-free!) and hearing such nice comments about our school.
