Dear parents, carers, prospective parents and friends,
Welcome to Oatlands Junior School. We are part of the Red Kite Learning Trust family of schools. Thank you for visiting our website that has been re-designed to give you a window into our busy world of learning: full of discovery, creativity, friendship and fun.
We are a friendly, welcoming school and enjoy the strong relationships we have with parents, relatives, governors and the PTA, who regularly support learning in the classroom, extra-curricular clubs, trips and fundraising events.
Every child is important to us at Oatlands Junior School. We are committed to providing an inclusive, safe, positive and stimulating learning environment, where excellence thrives through high standards of learning, attitudes and behaviour. Our collective aim is to ensure that all children strive to achieve and exceed their goals, whilst nurturing a life-long love of learning. At Oatlands Juniors, children play an active role in the life of the school, through the many Pupil Voice groups and even running their own extra-curricular clubs. We are proud of our rich, broad and creative curriculum that encourages our children to be inquisitive, enterprising and independent learners.
Oatlands Junior School is surrounded by spacious, beautiful grounds with fantastic outdoor facilities. Our recently installed running track, is popular with all our children, especially the ‘Daily Mile’ challenge. We work closely with our friends in the local community who support various projects in school. This year, the local allotment group are working in partnership with our Eco-Committee to develop the nature area into a sensory and wildlife garden, using money awarded to us from the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. Our new sculpture garden, at the entrance to our school, will display works of art throughout the year in collaboration with Local artists.
Our dedicated staff, parents and governors all work together to make Oatlands Junior School a place where we are all ‘Caring About Today, Creating Successful Tomorrows’.
Welcome to Our World of Learning…
