A reminder to all parents and carers, this is the last week to bring in your copper coins. The amount raised by the Badger's class goes directly back to them, to choose and vote on what wet play toys they would like.
Thank you for your support.
A massive CONGRATULATIONS to all the parents and carers who kindly donated their silver coins, to help raise funds for NSPCC number day. As a class, we raised over £48. Not only that but raised the most as a class in the whole school.
An extra special mention and congratulations to this child and her family who managed to raise over £25 in silver coins.

I wanted to wish all the class and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Also a very big thank you to all of you who so generously contributed to my gift and to Sarah Wilkinson for organising it. It has been a pleasure teaching Badgers class and I look forward to seeing them all in the New Year.
Mr Moore
Stephen visited and delivered a workshop to all Year 3 and Year 4 children today. He shared with us his first book: 'Madge the Mermaid'. Stephen read more of his book with us and explained where his ideas had come from whilst; a holiday in Perranporth, Cornwall. It took Stephen nearly three years to write his book and his second one will be published in three weeks!

We had a great time on our trip to York to support our learning about Vikings. First went on the Jorvik experience and most of us held our noses all the way round! Next was the battle workshop. We learned about and some people held, Viking weapons and shields. I think we realised that many of us would not have made very good Viking warriors and need to polish up on our battle skills! For our final activity we went into the Dig experience and became real-life archaeologists, looking at bones and things found in the ground.
Thank you once again to all the parents and carers who volunteered to support us on the visit, your time is very much appreciated.
Today the children got to roll straight out of bed and into school wearing their pyjamas for Children In Need, bringing a donation along with them. They also enjoyed a work out with a video featuring Joe Wicks! Thank you all for your donations, the total we raise will be in this week’s newsletter. Badgers are really enjoying their weekly badminton sessions at Harrogate Racquets Club. The children have already started work on their back hands and made super progress so far!
Congratulations to the two children that received special mentions in assembly today for their hard work, determination and mature attitude. Their certificates were thoroughly deserved!
Today was our Autumn 1st half term homework celebration. I was really impressed with the standard of the homework and enjoyed seeing all of the children's hard work. For every child I wrote a note about the piece of homework that had impressed me the most. The children also enjoyed the opportunity to read each other’s work and leave each other positive comments. Thank you to all the adults that help support their child at home, particularly with the models which were very impressive!
